In this sequel to Rapunzel’s Revenge, there's a young man named Jack—who likes to pull off "capers"; there's a giant—with some strange flour; there's a goose—who lays special eggs; and of course, there's a beanstalk.
But this story takes place in a city, and hold on to your hat as Jack, Rapunzel, and a nutty inventor figure out what's really going on and find ways to thwart the giant's evil plans.
This book is similar in ratings to Rapunzel’s Revenge, though one minor character smokes a pipe. There’s also more potty humor in it.
Calamity Jack (sequel to Rapunzel's Revenge) by Shannon and Dean Hale, illustrated by Nathan Hale (Bloomsbury, 2010), 144 pages.
